SF04 Primary User/Manage Rate Plans

When location wise pricing option is on then user has option to create different prices for every truck stop. It must be noted that pricing method will remain same for all truck stops and cannot be set location wise. Pricing method always remains same for all sites for one account code in one rate plan.

Note: If location wise pricing option is missing then please contact your project coordinator.

When location wise pricing is on then user sees ‘Location Wise Pricing’ button in create rate plan popup.  ‘Location Wise Pricing’ button shows status of location wise pricing for given rate plan as shown in below screen shot:

If location wise prices are not set, then this button shows ‘Location Wise Pricing (Off)’ else it shows ‘Location Wise Pricing (On)’

Clicking on Location Wise Pricing button opens a new popup as illustrated below:

But before clicking on Location Wise Pricing button Fuel Supplier, Pricing Method, Plan Start Date, Inflate Cost By and Cost Plus or Retail Minus must have valid values. Selected truck stops will automatically apply values from parent rate plan. User can change value of any truck stop as required. To change values of all truck stop codes, type in the header cell as illustrated below:

Once values are set then click on OK button. This will buffer all set values. Please note that clicking on OK will not save prices. But Location Wise Pricing button will show status as 'on'. Data is saved only when user clicks on Save button in Create New Plan window.

Note: Location wise prices will be considered set only if they differ from parent rate plan. For example, if Create New Rate Plan window has 0.05 as retail minus, then only those truck stops will be considered as set where retail minus is not equal to 0.05. All truck stop codes where retail minus is 0.05 will be considered as not set and will be discarded.

How does it work?

When location wise prices are set, then for every transaction system will first check if truck stop in the transaction has been set for a different price? If different prices are set then prices defined for that truck stop will be used for all calculations. If truck stop in the transaction does not have separate prices set, then default method of calculation will be used i.e. prices defined in the Create Rate Plan window will be used.
